Dongying City is located at the delta of north Shandong and the estuary of the Yellow River. Tianningsi Meditation Town is located in the north of Shengtuo Town, Kenli District, Dongying City, with a planned area of 302 hectares.

      Under the premise that the northern meditation industry is still a promising and emerging market, the planning for the meditation town grasps the opportunity of building characteristic towns, integrates the Qi culture, Confucian culture, petroleum culture and Buddhist culture in Dongying and establishes a complete and healthy meditation industrial circle for the elite group who has demands for mind and body relaxation, for the customers who understand and experience the meditation culture and are willing to receive relevant cultural education, and for the enterprises that seek industrial transformation and have development demands for the meditation cultural and creative industry. Based on the principles of ecological protection, cultural highlights, open streets and pedestrian priority, the project aims to build the Tianningsi Meditation Town into a new platform for the meditation industry, a new paradigm for water-city integration, and a new benchmark for the theme community. The town will feature the meditation culture of promoting Buddhism via spiritual practice, educational research, and charity and relaxation and become the first northern waterfront meditation town that integrates Buddhist activities, cultural experiences, meditation and wellness, cultural creativity and leisure accommodation and travel.
